Internet League Guidelines 2009/10

Each league has either 4 or 5 players who should to play each other during a calendar month.

Please email your results to John Love - john.tennis@blueyonder.co.uk  who will update the website.  It is the responsibility of the winner to email the result to John.

At the end of each month 1 player will be promoted and 1 player will be relegated from each league.

In order for the league to work players MUST make every effort to play their matches each month. Players who fail to do this may be withdrawn and replaced by players on the waiting list.

All matches will be decided by playing 2 tiebreak sets. One point will be awarded for each set won and 1 point to each player for playing the match. Therefore, if you win both sets you get 3 points and if you lose both sets you still get 1 point.

In the event of players having the same number of points at the end of the months, the player with the greatest games difference wins. If this still produces a draw then the player who completed their games earliest will be given the advantage.

Matches must not be played on Saturday & Sunday afternoons during senior club sessions. Please also try to avoid weekend morning as this will create court congestion alongside the coaching sessions. Where ever possible try to reserve courts mid-week under lights.
