Multi-Sports Camp 2010 - Frequently Asked Questions
1. Who is organising the camp and where will it take place?
The Camp Leader will be either an LTA qualified tennis coaches or a qualified teacher and will take place at Thistleworth Tennis Club, 129a Ridgeway Road North, Osterley, MIDDX TW7 5LX. The venue has 7 tennis courts, a large grass area for field games and a clubhouse.
2. When is the Multi-Sports Camp being held?
Summer Camp - Monday 26th July to Friday 27 August
3. What age group can attend the camp?
Main Camp - Players aged 8 to 15 years
Mini Camp - Players aged 5 to 7 years
4. What is the time of the Camp?
Main Camp – Morning Session 8.30am to 12.30pm
Afternoon Session 1.30pm to 5.30pm
Mini Camp - Morning Session 10am to 12pm
Afternoon Session 2pm to 4pm
PLEASE NOTE THAT MINI CAMP PLAYERS CAN ONLY BOOK 1 SESSION PER DAY
There is free lunchtime supervision for Main Camp players who are staying all day.
5. Do I need to book for a whole week?
No. You can book as many or as few sessions as you wish. Each day is broken down into a morning session and an afternoon session. You can pick and chose different sessions throughout each week.
6. How much does it cost?
Main Camp - £100 for a full week or 10 separate half day sessions
£12 per half day session if you are booking less than 10 sessions
Mini Camp - £25 for a full week or 5 separate half day sessions
£6 per half day session if you are booking less than 5 sessions
There is a 20% discount for 2nd child (brother or sister)
A Full no quibble refund will be given if players are not completely satisfied.
7. What activities will there be?
Our menu is a sporting one, offering an extensive range of sports. This includes tennis, football, volleyball, table tennis, baseball/rounders, cricket, pool/snooker and art & crafts, something for everyone will be available throughout the week.
8. How do I enroll for the camp?
Call the Coaching Team on 07958 234237 to get an application form or collect one from outside the clubhouse.
9. Can players turn up on the day without pre-registering?
To guarantee a place players must register in advance so we can ensure sufficient coach and player ratios are maintained. Please phone if you have a late request and have not booked - we will do our best to accommodate you.
10. How will I know if a place has been reserved for my child?
A confirmation letter or email will be sent to you.
11. What will my children need to bring?
All sports equipment will be provided, however if children want to bring their own tennis racquet this is okay. Children should bring a mid-session snack, a drink and clothing appropriate for the weather (e.g. waterproofs, warm layers). Your child will also need a packed lunch if they are staying all day. Water will be readily available.
12. Do I get a discount for a second child?
Yes, there is a 20% discount for the second and any subsequent children (brother or sister). The first child should pay the full price.
13. What will happen if my child has an injury/illness or is unhappy?
Every effort is made to ensure a safe and fun environment, however in the event of an injury or unexpected illness the parent/guardian will be informed immediately and appropriate action agreed. Therefore, if on any particular day your emergency contact number is different it is important that you inform us.
14. What should I do if I am delayed and cannot collect my child on time?
You should contact the camp leader as soon as possible. Camp staff will stay at the club until all children have been collected.
15. What safety measures are in place?
All lead coaches have been CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and hold an appointed persons First Aid certificate. Children will not be taken off the premises without parental permission. All children must be signed in and out by a parent/guardian.

The entrance to the club is on the junction of Ridgeway Road North and St Mary’s Crescent. By Bus: The H28 bus stops outside the club. By Train: The club is 10 minutes walk from Osterley Tube Station (Piccadilly line).
